Finding the right policy for Travel Insurance is essential for Overseas travel!

There are many travel health insurance sites which are trustworthy companies that let you enter your vacation details and get you immediate quotes. You can also purchase the international travel health insurance plan online by using your credit card or an e-check. Just find the plan that suits your finances and needs and then use your credit card to get it. Travel insurance online is a good way to initiate looking for a reputable company for international travel insurance.

Another way to get a overseas travel insurance review is to visit the Travel Insurance Association. The TIA keeps a database of all the insurance companies with their reviews and ratings. Reviews are important because you are dealing with the health of you and your family. There are many reputable companies that offer great products at cheap prices.

Travel Insurance Review can save you tons of money and time. Begin searching online for various insurance companies that you can get lightning fast quotes from. Once you have assembled up all of the material you need you can look it all over and see which insurance provider can really offer you the best cheap annual travel insurance policy. Please make sure that you are not sacrificing coverage for lower rates as the whole idea is to be covered in case you need help of some kind. The moment you ever need to use the policy you will be thankful for the quality coverage that you made sure you received.

I recommend Travel Insurance Center. I have only used this service once, but enjoyed the peace of mind that came with having a good policy. You can get fast quotes, you have to register, but it only takes a few minutes.

When it becomes time to actually shop for the travel medical insurance you possibly will find that you are at a loss. If this occurs the very first place you should call is the people that you already have your medical insurance policies through. This is because the agent may be able to cut you a pretty excellent deal since you are currently a customer with them.

It sometimes does not always work out that way so make sure that you are comparing their rate to the rate of many other companies to make sure that you are truly getting the top when it comes to the cheap annual travel insurance.

Having International travel insurance is really not an option. You will also notice that a company selling short term travel medical insurance will offer other plans for domestic travel and for international travel. A typical short term insurance plan will provide coverage from as few as 5 days of travel to as many as a year.

Before choosing a particular travel insurance plan you must also be sure that the plan covers more than sickness and should cover you for emergency treatment as well as for accidents and perhaps even for coverage for any pre-existing condition.

Overseas health insurance policies also provides coverage for medical treatment, retreival of mortal remains, personal accident and hospitalization expenses. This plan offers double benefit to its customers. The overseas travel health insurance can be purchased on individual basis, for a family, senior citizens and on yearly trip basis. The advantage of purchasing this policy is that the customer travels with no worries.

Travel insurance review – Reasons to have Travel Insurance

Travel Insurance Review – A little reading experience that I had today shocked me when I visited a blog that said people did not need travel insurance when traveling abroad. I am going to give you seven reasons off the top of head why this is not true.

First though, a little background about me. I became a health and life insurance agent in the summer of 2000. I have helped 100′s of clients with the health and Life Insurance needs (Primarily Life Insurance), but I speak with experience.

Here are the seven reasons you need Travel Insurance Overseas (or domestically):

1. You cancel your trip (you will get a refund if you have travel insurance)
2. Lost luggage (this has happened to me 2 times)
3. If there is a provision for health insurance abroad, it is really usually a very small benefit amount. It is rare that there is a provision at all.
4. Destination limitations – Hospitals and medical providers in certain areas of the world will not accept insurance from The United States and parts of Europe. They may not even take credit cards either.
5. Liability – Health care policies in general do not offer this provision.
6. Credit Card policy coverage. Wow big mistake, the terms and conditions on this type of policy are slim at best.
7. Medical Evacuation – Most Health Insurance policies do not cover emergency medical evacuation. This could cost you up to $20,000, depending on where you are when a medical situation pops up.

Always have travel insurance, 99.99% of the time your employer based health will not cover you well enough or at all. Travelers with government insurance need to ask as many question as possible for Medicare/Medicaid.

There was one good point on that blog was this, senior citizens should check with AARP for information about foreign medical care coverage with Medicare supplement plans.

Squaremouth is a wonderful travel insurance comparison site. Look at their website; you need to register to get more information, but it only take a minute or two. The resources and information can prove valuable to you.

Here is one more quick and little tip. Always bring your insurance claim form with you when you purchase travel insurance.

I hope you like this little travel insurance review, until next time. If you want to be updated when this blog gets updated fill in the form below. Remember we dislike spam too; we will never give away your private information.

Travel Insurance for Asia – You need Overseas Travel Insurance – Be prepared!

Planning a trip to Japan? China or maybe South Korea? You need Travel Insurance.

You might wonder about some of things that you might want to be covered.

 - Medical
 - Emergency coverage
 - Inpatient care
 - Outpatient care
 - Liability (in case you cause an accident)
 - Life and dismemberment provisions
 - Prescription coverage
 - Surgery
 - Evacuation insurance

It looks kind of scary thinking about it, but it is just like a health insurance policy you would normally buy with a few added benefits. Often you can get policies that will cover all these needed benefits and more. You can compare 100+ policies at one site.

“Most Asian countries have a nationalized health care program, so I don’t need health care insurance, right?”

Japan, for instance, has a national health care system, but you need to be there a full year before you can be covered by their insurance.

During my research I found different “situations” that effect premiums.

 - People 80 – 90 have a difficult (but not impossible time finding affordable travel insurance)
 - Older travelers pay higher premiums and get more restricted coverage, but these policies often accept clients with pre-existing conditions.
 - Insurance companies usually provide coverage for stays longer than 7 days.
 - Insurance Companies usually provides coverage for a maximum length of one year.
 - Different options may be available from $50,000 to 1,000,000 dollars. (Note: A million can sound like a lot, and it is, but I have heard of a few people burning through a million dollars in coverage in just 10 days)
 - Senior travelers over 70 are almost always limited to $20,000 (often $10,000 to $15,000)
 - Travel is expensive, but compared to what you get it can be affordable and worth the investment.

Here is one scenario. A couple from the United States, ages 31 and 34 with 2 children (under the age of 12) traveling to Japan with a maximum of $1,000,000 of coverage can expect to pay close to $2,400. Consider though, if the worst happens and you need emergency services. Most certainly that is a cheap price tag.

Overseas Travel Insurance – Can Senior Citizens Get Travel Insurance?

The quick answer is Yes!

Seniors can get Overseas Travel Insurance. There are catches though.

Interesting to note however that travelers over the age of 60 is increasing at a steady pace. These vacationers largely include newly retired people who need a break. Many people are fulfilling their dreams of seeing the world. Many older travelers should consider and prepare for these trips by getting travel insurance

There are factors that definitely apply, here are some of them:

 - Health condition
 - Activities on your vacation (this would include driving)
 - Length of stay
 - Destination Country
 - Age (almost impossible to get over 90)

What does the typical “senior” overseas travel insurance policy cover?

 - Between $10,000 to $20,000 of health coverage. This coverage includes unexpected illness and accidents.
 - Inpatient and outpatient medical expenses.
 - Medical first aid.
 - Therapy.
 - Diagnostic testing.

Can a senior be covered with a pre-existing condition? Surprisingly, yes! The premium is going to be more costly, because older travelers are more apt to use the insurance.
